Saftey First, Teamwork Second

Today I will be discussing the importance of saftey. While it may seem lame to you to wear a helmet, I speak from experience when I say that helmets are useful. Having suffered from one concussion already, I like to wear my helmet when I go through the park. Not really on the slopes though. The slopes are a lot more chill and the worst I'm going to hit is another boarder or a tree. The park is a pretty dangerous place if you don't know what you're doing, but it's nice to have that insurance that, "If I smoke my dome on this rail, my brains aren't going to pop out of my skull or turn into a bleeding mass of jello."
Secondly: teamwork. Teamwork is what will save your butt up on that mountain. Say you and your buddy are ripping through some trees in 3 feet of powder, and you catch an edge and fly face first, downhill, and into a tree. More than likely, you're going to be one sore son of a bee sting, and you aren't going to want to move. So you have your buddy go get ski patrol. or just make sure you're alright and laugh in your face when he knows you're good.

  2. You're right, snowboarding as a team is important. Is the possibility of running into trees when just going on a slope very likely?
